Community Resources
Welcome
This website is an informational resource for students and graduates of the Conestoga College CICE program. Here you can find some links to programs and services offered in local communities.
Moving forward in life is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming when thinking about and deciding what your next step is. We encourage you to reflect on the courses you have taken in the program and the skills you have developed and acquired, including but not limited to: organization, time management, punctuality and reliability, written and oral communication, and responsibility.
Where am I now?
Thinking about the skills and knowledge you have learned, ask yourself these questions: Where am I now? Am I living at home? Am I living on my own? What are my specific skills and expertise? What makes me happy today?
Where do I want to go?
What do you want to do, now and after you graduate? What do you want to do to live a happy, purposeful and fulfilling life? Think about the people and the things that mean the most to you. Ask yourself these questions: Do I want to volunteer? Am I ready to look for, and secure employment? Can I do this on my own, or do I require assistance? Do I want to live on my own? Am I ready to live on my own?
How am I going to get there?
Reflect on your life leading up to this moment. What have you done that you can use to help you answer some of the questions above? Is there something you’ve learned, or someone that you can contact to help you find a volunteer position or employment?
